Maria Bocanfuso
Aromatherapist & Reflexologist
Maria has had over 10 years experience as a
massage therapist. She uses two unique techniques of massage
to achieve optimal results - Aromatherapy and Reflexology.
Aromatherapy combines massage with the use of Essential Oils-
plant extracts- which have properties that assist in overcoming
disorders.
While Aromatherapy has gained the reputation as a wonderful
way of relaxing and many of the Essential Oils are indicated for
emotional and mental stress, other conditons such as acne, dermatitis,
sinus, fluid retention, PMT and menopause, arthritic pain,
RSI and sore feet all respond very well to the use of Essential
Oils which are always blended to an individuals requirements
based on the condition presented.
Reflexology is based on the principle that all parts of the
body are represented on the feet. The reflex action promotes impulses
to the brain to affect the corresponding part of the body.
Simple but effective!
The benefits of Reflexology include the enchancement of the bodys
own natural healing process and balancing the nervous system which
in turn reduces stress, promoting body awareness and increased
vitality. Reflexology is indicated for a wide range of conditions
and the (pain) management of disorders such as arthritis.
Christine Pope
Nutritionist & Homeopath
Christine’s
enthusiasm for Homeopathy is unmistakable. She has a special interest
in children and family medicine, lectures at Nature
Care College in Homeopathy and is also currently the Treasurer
of the Australian
Homeopathic Association.
She experienced firsthand the impact of a stressful lifestyle
after having worked for fifteen years in Investment Banking and
as a fulltime working mother of two. With two lactose intolerant
children, good nutrition and the integration of homeopathy became
fundamental to maintaining their optimal health. Christine's success
in practice is founded in combining a healthy diet plan with appropriate
micro nutritional support, while addressing her client’s
health problems and special needs.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Health Science, an Advanced Diploma
of Homeopathy, and a Diploma in Nutrition. She also holds a Bachelor
of Commerce and certificates in Coaching and Counselling and has
a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training with considerable
experience lecturing for Registered Training Organisations.
To facilitate Christine’s special interest in helping families
to build optimal health, she conducts regular Homeopathic First
Aid Workshops for the general public where she teaches the use
of homeopathic medicines and nutritional supplements for children’s
health and to treat a range of common illnesses. These include
coughs, colds fevers, flu and stomach upsets, headaches, sore
throats, jet lag and period pain.
Many of Christine’s clients have responded positively to
a straight forward combination of diet and homeopathic medicine
relieving digestive problems including reflux, IBS, constipation
and diarrhea. Clients have reduced or even eliminated medications
with regular treatments. Her integrative approach to health science
continues to help people with asthma, allergies, eczema, stress,
depression, migraine, childhood behavioral disorders, female reproductive
